About Dr Allman
Dr. Allman’s experience working with children and adults, as well as her teaching and research experience, allows her to integrate several different schools of therapy including cognitive- behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, acceptance, and commitment therapy. She has gained a deep appreciation for how difficult change can be and how hard people must work to achieve it. She focuses on meeting people where they are, and celebrating any change they make, because all change is meaningful.
Dr. Allman loves being a psychologist because she is interested in people and is in awe of our ability to adapt and change. She works with clients to help discover new ways to apply their existing strengths, emphasizing the importance of making gains, no matter how seemingly small, in order to facilitate long-term positive change.
In her spare time, Dr. Allman enjoys dancing, cooking, playing volleyball, and being with family and friends.
